Leap Day Resolution

Leap day

Hopefully lots of smart guys getting married today, one anniversary every 4 years is pretty ballin.

I wasn’t scheduled to post today, but I couldn’t pass up the opportunity of having a tag of post date of Feb 29th πŸ˜›

Leap years happen about once every 1450 days – i.e. not very often. The message is simple – it doesn’t happen very often, so celebrate it by doing something you wouldn’t normally do. If you feel you have been working hard – treat yourself. Whether that may be by:

  • Making a mortgage overpayment for February
  • Clearing a bill
  • Buying yourself a takeaway
  • Booking a trip with your friends
  • All of the above

Just do something. One of my good friends is 7 today; or should I say this is the seventh time he has celebrated his birthday πŸ™‚ !! Today only comes once every four years – so make it special in some way.

Why not use these extra 24 hours to their fullest? Do something kind and make a difference in someone’s day.

I’m on salary so I think this means I get paid the same to work an extra day this year.

Also, part of the office building that I work in (700 University in Toronto) collapsed today, how’s that for a leap day??

Joe – you are so right! I did think of this but thought it was better to go with the ‘glass is half-full’ approach πŸ˜‰

In the UK we have an extra public holiday which cancels it out πŸ˜€

I think it is a good time to review your 2012 New Year’s Resolutions. After 2 months you should be able to tell if you are on track with your goals and make any adjustments if necessary.

I kind of didn’t even realize that it was the leap year. I pushed a big update for my app so I’m happy about that. A new month, a new set of goals and challenges! πŸ™‚
