I’m not in my 40’s, but I’m in my mid-30’s! We walk a lot and exercise when we can. I really need to start lifting light weights but have never found the motivation =/

Take care of your back and knees is my 2c on this subject. These things actually wear out with use and the recovery time increases considerably at this age!

It is much harder to lose weight in your 40s! I don’t remember working out this hard when I was younger. Or maybe it just didn’t feel as difficult?

I’ve been exercising for just over a year, I’ve built up over time. It’s now my frugal go to activity
I am in my 40s and in the best shape of my life since I was playing sports in high school. I’m not super woman – not even close, but I made it a priority to get off the couch. No excuses.
Another 40-something here and I’d say I’m in pretty good shape, having kept reasonably active throughout my 20s and 30s and continuing to do so now. I do find that I have to work harder to shift excess weight (eg after too much food and drink during holidays!) but I push myself as hard as I can, making exercise part of my weekly routine so I have no excuses not to go.
