A collage wall requires certain steps and measures to realize. It needs a clear choice of pictures as well as a good choice of the background color for the images to have a good impact. With this in mind, it is essential to start by choosing a color that will enhance the room in which you want to make the beautiful collage wall. The texture of the wall is also an important factor considering that one needs to stick the images to the wall using some kind of adhesive. The images or pictures to stick on the wall must also be chosen with care. It is advisable to make sure they are made of materials that can stick with relative ease. The ability of the images to stick on the wall will depend on many factors such as the texture of the wall and the kind of adhesive used.

Important Factors to Consider When Preparing a Collage Wall

There are many kinds of walls in the homes or offices. The material used to make the wall is an important factor. There are stone walls, cardboard walls, and wooden walls among many others. With this in mind, it is important to start by analyzing the kind of wall available for the wall collage project. Different kinds of walls can accommodate different kinds of sticking methods. Stapling and pinning can work very well for wooden and cardboard walls. These methods cannot work on brick or stone walls because they are too tough. This means that anyone with a very tough wall should consider adhesives to stick the pictures in place. To have a uniform surface to work on, it is also essential to clean the wall before sticking any images on it. If the wall is too dirty, it is advisable to clean it and even paint it with good background paint for the collage work.

Make Sure to Sort out The Pictures or Images

Once the wall is cleaned and painted to make it ready for the sticking of images or pictures, it is time to sort out the images and pictures. In some cases, there is likely to be a color scheme. Pictures may come in different colors. It is upon the artist to sort them out in a way that will not create the clashing of colors. It is however important to note that the sorting out of pictures should be done by considering the kind of impact the artist needs to create with the collage work. There are colors or pictures that cannot stay side by side to each other. The sizes of the pictures should also be considered. Very large pictures have a domineering effect and should be used carefully.

Consider the Maintenance of the Collage Wall Too

Many people do not take time to think of the fate of the collage wall once it has been done. This often leaves many collage walls unprotected leading to very fast destruction of beautiful walls within a very short time. It is always advisable to make sure you have some security measures in place to safeguard the collage wall from vandals who might damage it. If the collage wall in question is in a public place, it is essential to make sure the wall is under lock and key at all times. If this cannot be possible, a guard should be positioned to keep watch. This happens a lot in art galleries where pictures are displayed on a large collage wall. The wall is often protected by a glass that can let people to see through especially if they want to watch the pictures close enough.

That looks really cute! I could see myself doing that during my college years. Now I’m mostly into traditional décor.
