Paradise Exists

By savvyscot

This place is unbelievable…

Paradise Exists

This place is amazing, the water is warm and crystal clear and the beaches are beautiful and unspoilt. I almost don’t want to tell everyone how great it is so that it stays this way and remains largely undiscovered!

Our trip with United/Continental Airlines was absolutely fantastic. We travelled Economy (of course) from LHR (London Heathrow) – Washington – Houston – Roatan. We had a 10hr 30 min layover in Houston, so planned to sleep out on a seat in the terminal. I decided that it would be a good idea to check with the United ground staff that our bags would be automatically transferred and then asked where the guy thought the best place was to camp out for the night. He mentioned that he could see if he could book us a hotel and before we knew it he had told us that United Airlines would be paying for our hotel room for the night and we had $40 of meal vouchers!! We had the best 6 hours sleep in the Marriot EVER!! What a great start to our honeymoon – right?

I LOVE UNITED AIRLINES!!

It is really great to see such acts of kindness. The airline representitive was so polite and went out of his way to make our experience great. We didn’t even mention it was our honeymoon, or ask for anything. He took it upon himself to do something great – a selfless act. I will be writing to the airline to let them know what a helpful and great employee they have (I will miss out the fact that he gave us vouchers in-case this gets him into trouble).

What great thing have you done recently?

We are about to leave to go for diving for the day – we don’t waste any time πŸ˜‰ !

Omg how beautiful. The water looks amazing. So happy you received such great service with United. I have heard a lot of good things and have had a lot of great experiences with Virgin America and Southwest, but now I’ll look into flying United next time. Have a fun honeymoon!

It may be a one-off, but it made our day! I have never flown with Virgin but also heard great things about them. It is funny how the airline can set the mood for the first few days of the trip!

hey SavvyScot, This is fantastic! I am glad that you had a great honeymoon experience.

I am surprised and delighted to hear that they put you up at a hotel!

I usually fly American but I have not experienced that kind of treatment from them. How delightful that this happened on your Honey Moon.

    That is truly wonderful.
