It seems like only 5 minutes ago that it was Friday… yet it is almost time to go back to work. The weekend has literally flown past. It’s that time of the week again where I review the stats at SavvyScot and mention some great posts from around the blog-world over the past week.
I must admit, this has been one of the busiest weeks that I have had in a while – I spent 2 days in Brussels (where I got the luxury of first class travel and 5 star hotels) with work and started training hard at the gym again. I have spent hours answering emails from sponsors, advertisers and friends in addition to trying my very best to stay active and comment on various blogs!
A big generic thank you to everyone who featured SavvyScot in weekly roundup posts and other carnivals! I will take this opportunity to announce the winners of the Razorpit Giveaway:
Congratulations guys, Razorpit will be in touch to get your shipping details. Make sure and tweet to let us know how you enjoy the product!
Summary of Stats at SavvyScot:
- Average number of visit per day – 324. Up over 100 from last week!!! I also received the most traffic in one day since starting this blog – 439 visits on Tuesday! This has set the bar high for next week!
- Alexa Rank – Target was <140k and…. my rank is currently sitting at 131K!! Down 20K places since last week… Target for next week is <120K.
- Facebook Likes – 635 – up by about 40 this week, largely due to the Snowflake Giveaway. SS Facebook Friend page – 323 friends (up by around 100).
- Twitter Followers – 26.1k – up around 400 followers from last week. This is partly due to the contest and partly due to you wonderful people retweeting my posts!
- Feed Subscribers – 38 – Up 2 from last week.
I’m sure you will agree this was another fantastic week stats wise – I also managed to post everyday and even started on Pinterest! I have huge increased interest in sponsored posts and advertising – it’s a great feeling! A big thank you to everyone who is responsible for the growing success of this blog; especially those who regularly comment and promote posts. I really am grateful guys!
Make sure you read the latest from the the Change Your Life Series – Part 3 – Knowledge. It is fantastic to hear so many people have committed!

Welfare Food Challenge – Canadian Budget Binder
MR CBB has joined the Welfare Food Challenge. What is this you might ask? (I did) Well basically, the challenge is to eat with only $26 per person / week in an attempt to show the government that the welfare allowance is insufficient. Very much looking forward to tracking MR CBB’s progress!
