Are you preparing for the future

By Pauline

With the world having recently experienced an economic recession it’s becoming increasingly important to plan for unexpected setbacks. AXA Self Investor, an online investment service, have created this infographic which outlines the different ways that people like to save and the ways that they don’t. It’s interesting to note just how much about savings that the majority of the public are unaware of, such as the 74% that don’t know what the maximum ISA allowance is for this tax year.

From saving in ISA’s to putting our money away in a savings account, most people have their own ways of preparing for the future. Although, according to this study, 14% of people are currently doing nothing to prepare for their retirement with only the intention of doing something about it in the future. Have a look at the findings that AXA Self Investor discovered about the nation’s savings habits.

Interesting post and great info graphic! Though it doesn’t apply to Americans, it’s definitely is thought provoking.

Great infography ! I think the number of citizens that do not have an emergency rescue fund for example is alarming. People should save more money for the future and especially milenials… And 20% who haven’t made any savings in 3 years is worrying, really…
