Want to see the world but worried about how much it can cost to go travelling?
Well, fear not, because it is surprisingly easy to experience a range of different cultures on a budget – in fact you do not have to spend a single penny if you are determined enough.
Our friends at The Crazy Tourist have come up with seven of the best ways to travel the world for free and developed a handy infographic with all of the details you need to put your plan together.
Volunteering for a charitable organisation is one of the most common ways to see the world for free, but do not count out working a few small gigs while travelling either.
For example, plenty of casual work teaching English as a foreign language is often available for travellers, while you could also find work as an au-pair or a private tutor.
The below infographic from The Crazy Tourist also features more thinking-out-of-the-box ideas such as organising a travel group or taking on an adventure charity challenge, where your travelling costs are covered by the money raised through sponsors.
Getting around can be expensive while travelling, but it does not have to be so costly.
Free flights can be secured by collecting Air Miles or rewards points, while hitchhiking can be a great way to travel for free on the roads of your chosen destination, plus it is a fantastic way to get to know the local people.
