Nice infographic scot, Yeah indeed nothing is free in life but yeah money can’t buy happiness which is priority in everybodys life

You are right, but it can certainly make it more attainable! SO long as people don’t confuse money for happiness as that is not an automatic right!!! 🙂

£72 for a first date? lol. I don’t think I’ve ever spent that much on any dates #cheap. I guess having money does make life easier in every situation 🙂

The wedding one got me – if I ever get married, it will cost less than $10,000 (which is over 20,000 pounds!)

Same. My wedding will most likely cost less than $10K too. The average wedding in Canada in 2013 so far has been $32K however 😕 Wonder what couples are doing these days. Booking an entire cruise liner to themselves? lol.

It really is quite ridiculous. I went to a wedding a few weeks back that cost over £80K – $130K US. London venues charge an absolute fortune… and to be totally honest – it wasn’t that great

$10,000 is about £6500 ish – and I think this is a very good target! You can get married in Thailand on a beach in a 5 star hotel for around that number 😉

Hahaha! Hashtag cheap – I don’t think I have either. Maybe it is an average rather than a median!

The cost for raising a child is rather scary £222K! (Gulp!) Great post!

Thanks 🙂 – rather scary right?! Kids can wait a little bit longer I think…

    This is terrific 🙂

Although, I think we need to work on a follow-up — how to make the best things in life *closer to free* 🙂

Just found your blog! really cool…
I just wrote a post about how happiness plateaus after you reach a certain income level, and here you post a new theory about how it actually keeps growing … I am still sticking to the original theory, though. The new theory talks about when a country becomes wealthier.. well yes that means more education, less crime, etc, so everyone lives better even if individuals’ personal income is unchanged.
