Books That Every Entrepreneur Should Read

By Pauline

When you’re an entrepreneur, it’s incredibly important to continually educate yourself. Make it a point to regularly seek out new books and resources to help you stay on top of your game. Consider reading the following books, which are ideal for entrepreneurs or anyone looking for success in their career.

“Think and Grow Rich” by Napoleon Hill

napoleon hill

This timeless book was commissioned by Andrew Carnegie. The idea of the book was to help people understand how to achieve fortune and wealth, two things that just about every professional would say they want. Over 25 years, successful businesspeople were interviewed in an effort to discover the main principles of success. Learn from the most successful people in the world and choose which methods you’d like to adopt for yourself. While many tactics for success aren’t evergreen, the ones in this book are classic and can still be applied today.

“The Compound Effect” by Darren Hardy

This book shows how two people can end up in two completely different places in their life, regardless of the fact that they started out on the same path. Readers learn about how small, “insignificant” events and decisions actually make a huge impact. Fans of this book learn how to make meaningful decisions in their everyday. This is a great book whether you’re looking for success in business or in life. It will make you pay close attention to how you go about your day and you’ll think deeper about the choices you may on a regular basis.

“The 80/20 Manager” by Richard Koch

In this book, Koch discusses the Pareto Principle, which says that 80% of your efforts are responsible for 20% of your results. Also, 20% of your efforts are responsible for 80% of your results. The idea of this book is to help you understand what you should be focusing your time and energy on in order to see maximum results. Professionals like Ehsan Bayat are adept at figuring out what processes are working for them and which aren’t. By applying the 80/20 principle, you’ll start to focus primarily on the tasks that are getting you the biggest results. The other tasks can then be cut out or delegated so that you can focus on the things that truly make a difference in your business.

“Built for Growth” by Arthur Rubinfeld

Rubinfeld was a catalyst in expanding Starbucks, which means he knows a thing or two about business success. In this book, he discusses how to setup the right infrastructure for scaling a business. No matter type of business you have, even if it has nothing to do with the restaurant industry, this book is beneficial. Even boutique businesses can scale and there’s nobody better to learn from than someone who’s succeeded at scaling in a big way.

If you’re looking to give your entrepreneurial outlook a boost, not to mention your income, these books will help you on your way.
